SPRING 2016 PBC NEWS
For over 20 years Pastor Marc Estes has served the PBC community, teaching a variety of courses and mentoring countless students. We were honored to have him in our chapel service as he shared a powerful word titled “Praying Big Prayers” reminding us all how big our God is. Great things are in store for City Bible Church and our new Associate Lead Pastor.
All Night Prayer
Just when we thought the spring semester couldn’t get any better, All Night Prayer happened. Students gathered from 11pm to 5am to pray for our nation, the lost and each other. Hundreds are impacted year after year by this student-led semi-annual event.
The Wildcats enter the off-season with high hopes for next year, as they are returning 7 players from this year’s team and the coaches have been hitting the recruiting trail hard. Those returning will excel next year in leading the team with their work ethic and spiritual maturity.
Free Semester Give-Away
Hundreds of students from our GU family entered to win the drawing for the free semester of tuition for the Fall 2016-Spring 2017 school year at this year’s GU conference. We’ll be drawing the winner in August from the list of applicants so make sure you’ve started your application by August 1st.
Esther Little (ATh ’05)
Alumni Esther Little was compelled with the desire to pay-it-forward and her recent campaign, “If not for love” is giving 100% of the proceeds to Syrian refugees via sweatshirts and hand-written notes. With so many others compelled by Love, this kick-starter project superseded its goal by over $11,000.00 in only a few short weeks. Want to get involved? Check out the website here!
Chris Donald (ATh ’08)
Shortly after graduating in 2008, Chris and Chelsea Donald took over the Senior Pastor role at their home church, “The Promise,” in Woodland, WA. They are leading a powerful movement throughout the region as they share of the power of God at youth rallies, conferences, and everywhere they go.
Judah Smith (BTh ’14)
World renown speakers and pastors Judah and Chelsea Smith have found yet another avenue to reach people for Christ. Their new children’s book “I will follow Jesus” helps kids understand the characteristics of Jesus and what it means to have a relationship with Him. We are so proud of this dynamic couple, and their heart to reach people of all ages for Christ.
